The Department of Microbiology, Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital (SLMCH), successfully organized a guest lecture to observe World Hand Hygiene Day 2025 on 6th May 2025. The event was held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Room 422, 4th Floor Demo Hall.

The theme for this year was “Hand Hygiene Disinfection”, emphasizing the importance of effective hand hygiene practices in preventing healthcare-associated infections and promoting patient safety.

The session highlighted key statistics, current practices, and practical insights on hand disinfection techniques. Attendees included medical students, staff, and faculty members, all of whom actively participated and benefited from the informative session.
